Customize Your Experience

What do you want to learn during our cooking class? Use your imagination and my guidance to design your own class agenda or pick from one of the themed lessons.

The class type will be demo unless the home can accommodate hands-on participation.

You will get to eat all the food prepared during the class and recipes will be provided for you to keep.

You do not have to worry if you do not like to cook or want to learn how. Classes will be fun and interactive. You may treat the class as a different way to enjoy time together with family, friends, or neighbors.

I charge $300 per class, inclusive of the cost of food for up to 6 people. For every additional person, you will pay $50.

Additional charges may be incurred for custom agendas based on food selection and class curriculum.

The maximum number of guests will depend on class location and accommodations.

Cooking Classes We Offer

  • Basic Knife Skills

Learn how to properly hold a knife, how different knives are constructed, and why the weight and sharpness of the blade matter.

  • Less Is Best

Focusing on recipes with six ingredients or less, this lesson sample theme will enable you to learn how to stock a pantry as well as how to stretch flavor with fewer ingredients.

  • Pizza Party

Forget take-out pizza from a local chain near you. We will convince you that making pizza at home is easy - and more delicious! When you enroll in one of our classes, you will be taught how to make two appetizers, two crusts (one standard New York-style pizza using flour and yeast, and the other using cauliflower to make it gluten-free), and two different sauces (red and white).

  • Foods From the State of New Mexico

The difference between Mexican and New Mexican food is in the sauce! At this class, you will learn relevant information about New Mexico-grown green chile peppers, such as where to buy them and how to cook dishes with them as an ingredient. An optional addition to this class is how to make sopaipillas (puffed bread).  Sopaipillas can be served with a meal, as an entrée stuffed with meat or beans or with honey, as a dessert.

  • Pasta Making: The Italian Way

If you are a fan of pasta dishes, you will surely enjoy our demo and hands-on training in pasta making! We will teach you about different types of flour that used in making pasta from scratch. We will make spaghetti, fettuccine, and ravioli, plus a different sauce for each.

  • Sushi 101: Introduction to Sushi and Sushi Rolls

At our Sushi 101 class, we first learn how to make the vinegar rice dressing that makes sushi rice so tasty! We then use the rice to create your favorite rolls, like California Rolls and Cucumber Rolls. We will also make Nigiri (Shrimp) and Tamago (Omelette) Sushi.
